Anniversary Blend 2022


Project

Every year, to celebrate the brand’s founding month, Starbucks releases a limited-edition design for Anniversary Blend, featuring the iconic siren.

This design was inspired by the original brand logo, which had copper finishes and wood-block print style. Turquoise coffee leaves create gentle, dreamy background, while coffee cherries bring an added touch of metallic all over the bag.

The art was used globally for different iterations of this blend, and lifted for merchandise design in Asia Pacific and Latin America. The design will return for another year, and will be released again for 2023.

This design was shortlisted for the Dieline Awards 2023 in the In-House category.

Project

This coffee packaging design was brought back for a second year, with the request that it fit into the new architecture for Starbucks’ US coffee packaging. This new structure had set placement for the green logo at the top, so the art needed to be adjusted to accommodate it.

I brought in some touches of orange from the Spring campaign palette.

The art was lifted by international markets for release in the spring and fall of 2023.
